WHAT WE RECOMMENDED AND WHY
The diversity of Kenya’s wildlife has garnered international fame, especially for its populations of large mammals. Mammal species include lion (Panthera leo), cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius), African buffalo (Syncerus caffer), wildebeest (Connochaetes), African elephant (Loxodonta), zebra ( Hippotigris), giraffe (Giraffa), and rhinoceros.
Kenya also has a very diverse population of birds, including flamingo and ostrich.
The main tourist attractions are photo safaris through the 60 national parks and game reserves. Other attractions include the wildebeest migration at the Masaai Mara which is considered the 7th wonder of the world , historical mosques and colonial-era forts at Mombasa, Malindi, and Lamu;
The renowned vast scenery like the snow white capped Mount Kenya, the Great Rift Valley; the tea plantations at Kericho; the coffee plantations at Thika; a splendid view of Mt. Kilimanjaro across the border into Tanzania and the beaches along the Swahili Coast, in the Indian Ocean.
MASAI MARA-LAKE NAKURU-AMBOSELI
DAY 1:
Leave Nairobi at 9am for Masai Mara national Reserve
A picnic lunch will be served on the way. We shall arrive in time to enjoy an evening game drive and experience the breath taking sight of the African sunset and the reserve’s wildlife marvel.
Dinner and overnight at the park.
DAY 2:
This will consist of a full day game viewing. We will take an exparly morning and late afternoon game drive to explore and enjoy Masai Mara in search of the”BIG FIVE”and some of e rare and less frequently seen animals like the roan antelope, bat-eared fox etc found in the major parks save Tsavo.
Mara’s richness in fauna, beauty and untouched fragility of the landscape are also marvels to behold.
All meals will be served from the area of accommodation.
DAY 3:
We shall leave the Mara after lunch for lake Nakuru national park, via thompson’s falls. A picnic lunch will be served on the way.
Lake Nakuru, quite often referred to as the”Pink Lake” is world famous as the location of the greatest bird spectale on the earth, myriad of pink flamingos whose numbers are Legion more than a million maybe two.
The lake is also rich in other bird life the most popular being the two fish eating birds, pelicans and cormorants.there are over 400 resident species on the lake.
We shall spend the night in one of the lodges or hotels located near the park.
DAY 4 and 5:
This day will start with a morning game drive around the park in search of the game. Its the sanctuary of colony of about 25 white and black rhinos.one of the largest concentrations is found here, the rothchild’s giraffe, waterbuck, lions etc
We will then leave for Amboseli national park.This lies at the foot of mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. The snow capped peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro rising above a saucer of clouds dominates every aspect of this park ,the snow is white crystalline which majestically backdrop to one of Kenya’s most spectacular display of wildlife (lions, leopards etc)and hosts the plains game creating Kenya’s most sought after photographer’s paradise.
The next day will be spent game viewing and sight seeing in the park.
DAY 6:
After a morning game drive, we shall leave for Nairobi.
