Planning for a safari can be the most tiresome exercise to make, especially if you have never been to East Africa. and with having the right company to arrange and plan for you a safari is the BEST thing ever, ahhhh but Not all companies, would tell you what to carry and what to expect on your safari, why because to them its all about money, well well, that’s not us.
BELOW we give you a few TIPS for your safari trip to be a success.
1. Buy a good sports bra. At good lodges and reserves, your guides will take you off road, often. Them boobies don’t stand a chance against a 4×4 and rain-washed rocky roads.
2. Dress in layers. You start off in the early morning, in an open vehicle, dressed ideally in long cotton pants, something on your head, and several layers ending with a thick jacket on top. An hour later you’ve half shed and after a 2-hour drive, you’re down to your spaghetti strap tops.
3. Take a hat. Yes, the game viewers have roofs, but the sun comes in at an angle, and you’ll stop along the way, get out of the vehicle, and have meals or drinks. Often no shade, when on the game drive.
4. Wear closed shoes, no matter how hot. It not only helps with thorns if there’s a flat tyre or other emergencies, but there might also be walking involved and that’s not great in open shoes.
5. Tell your guide if you’ve been on safari before and whether you have special interests. They’ll be careful not to over-or under-share according to your needs.

6. If you don’t wear prescription glasses, take along sunglasses AND a pair of clear-lens specs as well. When you drive back to camp at night, there are hundreds of little bugs that get attracted to the vehicle’s lights and fly into your eyes.
7. Take a buff. It doubles as a mask and also keeps your face warm and those proverbial bugs out of your mouth.
8. Have your camera on and out ALL the time. The best things happen at the most unexpected moments.
9.Carry a power bank with you, just in case the battery dies on your phone.
