Experience the Pearl of Africa on an exclusive women-only safari designed for adventure, relaxation, wildlife encounters, cultural immersion, and sisterhood. Travelling from 18 to 29 July 2027, this 12-day journey visits Murchison Falls, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi, Lake Bunyonyi, and Lake Mburo, with gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, game drives, boat cruises, cultural experiences, and memorable time together.
Welcome to Uganda. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly received by the Great Expeditions Team and transferred to your hotel on the beautiful Entebbe Peninsula. Depending on your arrival time, the team will conduct a safari briefing and assist with any foreign exchange requirements.
After breakfast, begin the journey to Uganda’s largest protected area, Murchison Falls National Park. Enjoy scenic landscapes, local communities, and views of Budongo Forest and the Victoria Nile. Lunch will be served en route before continuing to the park.
Rise early for an exciting game drive in search of lions, leopards, elephants, Nubian giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kob, hyenas, warthogs, patas monkeys, and abundant birdlife. In the afternoon, enjoy a spectacular boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls, where you may encounter hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and numerous water birds.
Travel through the scenic countryside from Bunyoro to Tooro Kingdom, enjoying views of Lake Albert, tea plantations, rolling hills, and traditional villages. Arrive at Kibale Forest, renowned as the Primate Capital of the World.
After breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the forest in search of wild chimpanzees. Kibale is home to more than 15 primate species and over 300 bird species, making this one of Africa’s premier wildlife experiences.
Enjoy a hands-on Ugandan cooking experience at Tinka’s Homestead. Learn traditional preparation techniques and savour the delicious meal you have helped create. Later, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Africa’s most biodiverse ecosystems.
Explore the famous Kasenyi Plains on an early morning game drive before visiting the local craft market at the Salt Lake. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, known for its concentration of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and spectacular birdlife.
Travel through the stunning Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the Switzerland of Africa, before arriving in Bwindi. Relax and prepare for tomorrow’s unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure.
Today’s highlight is a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with the endangered mountain gorillas of Bwindi. After a briefing by park rangers, trek through the forest to spend one magical hour observing a gorilla family in its natural habitat.
Enjoy a fun Gomesi dressing experience with photography and cultural storytelling. Each participant receives a complimentary Gomesi from the Great Expeditions Team. Later, visit the Batwa community to learn about their forest heritage through songs, dances, and storytelling, then continue to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxing boat ride and stories about its islands.
Journey through the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda, characterised by rolling hills, banana plantations, and Ankole cattle farms. In the evening, enjoy a game drive in Uganda’s smallest savannah park, home to zebras, giraffes, impalas, buffaloes, and more.
Enjoy a final morning game drive before beginning the return journey to Entebbe. Depending on your flight schedule, the Great Expeditions Team will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
