Enjoy a delightful beach dinner at the resort.

Spend the day at the pristine beaches of Tanganyika Blue Bay Resort. Engage in beach activities such as swimming, sunbathing, tennis, and boat rides to keep you refreshed and entertained. Between meals, a visit to a nearby fishermen’s village will provide insight into local life and activities. Overnight at Tanganyika Blue Bay Resort.

After breakfast, we will embark on a journey toward “the Source of the Nile,” where a pyramid has been erected to symbolize the most southern source of this majestic river. Next, we’ll visit Karera Waterfalls. En route, enjoy the magnificent tea plantations and lush landscapes that provide ample opportunities for photography. Upon arrival at Karera, a hiking picnic will reveal breathtaking views of the four different waterfalls and the surrounding rich flora. This tour not only provides insight into the history of Burundi but also allows you to mingle closely with the locals. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Tropitel Hotel Gitega.

Following breakfast, we will visit the drum sanctuary of Gishora, renowned for its ceremonial significance. The sanctuary houses two ritual drums that have never been beaten: Ruciteme (the one for whom we clear the forest) and Murimirwa (the one for whom we cultivate). These names reflect the deep ties to agriculture and fertility associated with the king. You’ll witness drummers performing traditional ceremonies, immersing yourself in the vibrant cultural heritage of Burundi. Dinner and overnight at Tropitel Hotel Gitega.
